The latest wage research for Cornwall Apprenticeships shows a positive picture

New research commissioned by the Cornwall Apprenticeships campaign in January 2015 indicates apprentices in Cornwall enjoy above average wage levels, regular salary increases as they progress through their Apprenticeship, with 96% staying in work when their Apprenticeship is complete.  The latest figures from the National Apprenticeship Service also show the number of people starting an Apprenticeship in Cornwall and the isles of Scilly has increased by 25% during the period August to December 2014 (when compared with August to December 2013) with training providers suggesting this trend is continuing into 2015.

Jason Sugden who coordinates the Cornwall Apprenticeships campaign said: “The results of our research, combined with the latest data from the National Apprenticeship Service, paint a very encouraging picture for Apprenticeships in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.  A myth we have been keen to bust is that Apprenticeships are poorly paid jobs with few prospects, but the figures show clearly that this is not the case in Cornwall.”
