Pirate fm recruiting for new apprentice

Cornwall College Business (CCB) and Pirate FM have teamed up to give a unique and exciting opportunity to someone promising in the county in 2014.

When Pirate FM realised they needed some more expertise in their growing digital department, they headed straight to Cornwall College, who offered an apprenticeship package unique to Pirate’s business needs. Cornwall College Business are now on the case to help Pirate FM recruit a Digital Services and Sales Co-ordinator apprentice who will support the Head of Digital Services on a variety of projects including digital marketing, social media and updating the Pirate FM website.

Once the successful candidate is in post, you will be able to follow their 12 month journey through their regular video blogs and social media updates. The apprentice will also be a great ambassador to potential apprentices by sharing their experience at a range of events in 2014.

Beverley Warne, Managing Director of Pirate FM says: “This is a really unique opportunity that we are offering and we are really excited about working with someone from Cornwall where we have a great pool of talented people. Cornwall College Business has been really supportive in helping us tailor this unique apprenticeship vacancy to our business needs, as well as managing the recruitment process for us.”

Sally Foard Head of Cornwall College Business said: “This apprenticeship programme we are offering to Pirate FM demonstrates how flexible we can be, ensuring that we are working with businesses to suit their training needs. On this occasion the successful applicant will complete a sales apprenticeship plus they will have a range of various other training courses to make the apprenticeship more comprehensive in supporting their job role.

“This particular apprenticeship programme is unique because it brings together a mix of sales and digital skills together for the first time and we are looking forward to following the journey of the apprentice who is appointed to see how they get on.”

Applications for the vacancy are open on Tuesday 3rd of December and will close on Tuesday 7th January 2014. Representatives from CCB and Pirate FM will be present during late night Christmas shopping on Boscowen Street, Truro to discuss the vacancy as well as any other apprenticeship vacancies there are available throughout Cornwall.
