The Cornwall Apprenticeship’s ‘300 in 100’ campaign which launched on 6th January 2014 came to a close recently after running for 100 days. The campaign, which received the support of all 6 MPs for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, had an ambitious target to generate 300 pledges from businesses to take on an apprentice during the first 100 days of the year.
The count at the end of the 100 days stood at 202. Jason Sugden, Events and Marketing Coordinator for the campaign said ‘I’m delighted by the impact this focused effort has had on the campaign. Although we have not achieved the target we originally set ourselves within100 days, new businesses are coming on board each day and the wider Cornwall Apprenticeship campaign will continue to raise awareness about Apprenticeships over the coming months.”
The Cornwall Apprenticeships campaign is sponsored by the National Apprenticeship Service and has the backing of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership through its Employment Skills Board.
