The finalists have been announced for the Excellence in Business Training Awards 2014 hosted by Cornwall College Business, supported by Silicon Valley Bank, media support by Devon & Cornwall Media and Pirate FM has been unveiled.
The list of finalists features some of the region’s leading businesses including; Cormac Solutions Ltd, Ocean Housing Group Ltd, Fit ‘n’ Fun Kids Ltd, Piece of Cake Consultancy, Interserve Construction, Cornwall Care, Jill Carr from Pendennis Shipyard and Thomas Bromfield from The Beachfield Hotel. The winners of the ten categories will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on 24th January 2014.
Now in their seventh year the awards recognise businesses and individuals who demonstrate commitment and dedication to training across the South West. Sally Foard from Cornwall College Business said: “We’ve been very impressed with the standard of entries to this year’s awards,” The judges have had a hard time choosing their winners and I’d like to thank all the companies from across the South West who took the time to submit nominations.”
The finalists were chosen by a panel of judges made up of some of the region’s most experienced business professionals.
“The entries to this year’s awards have been outstanding” said Phil Cox from Silicon Valley Bank “It was a tough decision, as everyone deserves recognition for their commitment to training.”
Kerry Dunkley from City & Guilds added: “It was not an easy decision; I have to say there was a very high calibre of nominations.”
The awards evening is always well attended by business leaders and managers from across the South West. It is also a great opportunity to celebrate excellence in training while being entertained and enjoying a delicious three course meal; and it is always a great networking occasion.
The ceremony will take place at The Atlantic Hotel Newquay on Friday 24th January 2014, from 7pm.
