THE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
Originally opened in 1975, The Seafood Restaurant is owned by Rick Stein and Jill Stein and currently employs over 300 members of staff. In 2008 Rick made the decision to start an apprenticeship scheme to support talented chefs within the company and since then The Seafood Restaurant has seen over 60 internal apprentices complete its 12 month Professional Cookery Apprenticeship.
Cornwall Care is an independent Cornish charity; committed to delivering outstanding levels of care to vulnerable people and employing 1,400 staff members, 900 of which are delivering complex care to over 1,000 people throughout the County.
Cornwall Glass & Glazing Ltd is a family business which started in 1979 in Truro which has now grown to a company of 15 branches and over 200 colleagues. The company serves the whole of the Southwest and deals with all aspects of glass both commercial and residential.
CORNWALL PARTNERSHIP NHS FOUNDATION TRUST
We introduced Apprenticeships within the Trust in 2009. Since then we have had over 70 successful apprenticeship completions, many of which have stayed within the Trust and continue to progress further.
Pendennis Shipyard is a world-class superyacht build and refit yard based in Falmouth, Cornwall. Now employing over 350 staff, with about a third of the workforce made up of either apprentices currently working through or having previously completed the 4-year course.
ROYAL CORNWALL HOSPITAL NHS TRUST
The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is the principal provider of acute care services in the county of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It serves a population of around 450,000 people, a figure often doubled by holidaymakers during the busiest times of the year.
Andy Hardy owns and manages small business Premier Carpets & Flooring based in Launceston, Cornwall. He has always been passionate about teaching young people, giving them the chance to gain qualifications and progress in a very satisfying, well paid trade that will stay with them wherever they may choose to go.
